One year ago I expressed my sadness when I did undestand that I never again met my dear friend. Today, I want to say that I miss Carol every day. She'll be forever my friend.

It was an honor to care for Carol while she was at Brigham & Women's Hospital. It was bittersweet when she was admitted tp 5A because I was happy to see her... but meant that she wasn't feeling well. She always took the time to ask how I was or how my son, Ryan was. I learned so much from her... from child rearing advice, to book suggestions, to gardening tips. I told her that I called my garden the "Carol Garden" last year.. and I will this year too!
I'm sorry that I wasn't able to go to the services. I was on vacation and didn't get the information on time. 
My sympathies to Charlie, Jacob & Rachel. She loved all of you so much & would take pride in sharing stories about each one of you.

Although I met Carol first at work, my fondest memories were when we hopped in the car together and did Spring tours of the greenhouses and nurseries in Northern CT.  Lots of fun and we are often reminded of those moments as we tend the plants that came home from our trips with Carol.

Carol's door was always open for me, regardless of the hour. She warmly welcomed me into her home for conversation, food, and fun. My memories of her annual gingerbread house building parties are special and will always bring a smile to my heart. I will miss her.

Carol was a purely compassionate force for justice and fairness.  I knew her so long ago.  We shared Hebrew School and a Bat Mitzvah.  She was lightyears ahead of me in political and social awareness. I will never forget her. "You said it all/though not many had ears/all those years ago." Friendship is a matter of the heart...that is where I shall keep you and I will find you in the faces of your children...thank you for both...you once told me I was your little sister...I have never forgotten that moment and I will never forget you!

I met Carol at Washington-Lee High School. Even then she was a force, she never let me be less than I was. I learned the art of protest & social activism from her.  Most of all I learned about love and friendship. She touched my life deeply and I'll miss her wit & wisdom more than I can possibly say.

I am so saddened to hear this.Carol was a wonderful neighbor. She was an organizer and always provided any information we needed when our quiet neighborhood had an issue. She was also a very informed and active citizen of Acton. She will be missed on many levels.
    Charlie, I regret that we will be unable to attend Carol's services as we are leaving wednesday for Matt's wedding on Friday. You, Rachel and Jake will be in our thoughts.

I too worked with Carol at Voicetek, and appreciated her subtle strength, sharp focus, philosophical nature and wry sense of humor. I was in awe of her ability to be true to herself in a stressful job. 

She had a powerful devotion to family, and I grieve with you.

Carol was a light in the darkness after our daughter died. She was kind, strong, grounded and honest, and she exuded wisdom. Incredibly, she channelled her pain of losing her own dear child into support for others facing the unimaginable. In her company and by her example, we felt we just might survive. Carol leaves an immeasurably huge hole in our community of bereaved parents. My heart is so heavy.

I worked with Carol indirectly at Voicetek.  Carol was invaluable in helping me & she was always graceful, resourceful, and had a wonderful sense of humor which oftentimes helped to lighten the pressure that we were under.

I knew her for 38 years - through thick and thin - my wedding, Passovers, Thanksgivings, puppies, kids, water during power outages, life and death celebrations, and one of the very few who were allowed to call me "Billy." I'll miss her.

I was honored to have Carol as my sister in law; she was one of the smartest and most humble people I know but had sharp wit and humor.  You were loved by many and I am honored to have been one.

To my dearest friend, i would say "au revoir" and  thank you for your friendship. I enjoyed all the days in writing we are both at school and later, when we met together in Acton. Thank your for all, my friend. I'll never forgotten you, you will be for ever in my heart. From your French friend, from the other side of the ocean. I love you for the rest of my life.
