Daniel D. Gordon

Gordon- Daniel David, late of Brookline, MA, passed away on January 12, 2016. Beloved husband and best friend of Faye (Cousins) Gordon. Devoted father of Steven Gordon and his wife Dena of New York City, and John Gordon and his wife Perri of Wellesley, MA. Adoring grandfather of Emma Rose Gordon, Ariel Eliza Gordon, & Sawyer Micah Gordon. Loving godfather of Harold and Jonathan Feinberg. Prior to 1970 he was an executive with the Northern Textile Association, then began career as professor at both Salem State and Northeastern University. Beloved by students, he spent many extra hours counseling and tutoring. Professor Gordon was Professor Emeritus at Salem State University and Adjunct Professor at Northeastern University, where he received an award for outstanding teaching. An avid follower of Boston sports, and an avid reader of history and stories of war, he recently traveled to Normandy. Daniel’s favorite place was Rockport, MA, where he spent many summers swimming, vacationing, and enjoying the ocean. Daniel was most passionate about spending time with his beloved children and grandchildren. Services at Temple Sinai, 50 Sewall Ave., Brookline, MA on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 10 am. Interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park. Memorial observance will be held at his late residence, on Thursday, from 5-8 pm, Friday, 2-4 pm, and Saturday, 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Temple Sinai, 50 Sewall Ave., Brookline MA 02446.
