Deedee, as she was known, was a talented musician, playing many instruments and singing with a beautiful voice. Deedee strived to gain and share the inner peace that music provided her through listening, creating, and performing. Music was her driving force and kept her going through much of her life. Her goal was to be a music teacher and help to educate others. She wanted to teach people "the magical powers of music" and what it is capable of doing.
Devoted to her Jewish faith, she relished her time at the synagogue in services and the religious school and studying with the rabbi and cantor. She worked hard to become a Bat Mitzvah and went on to teach and support younger students preparing for their religious milestones. Although her illness greatly shifted Deanna's path, inside she continued to live her faith and serve others as she was able.
Deedee was a loving and caring daughter to her parents Bill and Leslie (Schneider) Schroeder; and a dedicated and beloved sister to Violet, with whom she shared a special bond.
She was also a devoted and special granddaughter to Albert and the late Edna-mae (Morse) Schneider and Mary Louise (Link) and the late William Schroeder. Though struggling with mental illness for many years, Deedee also had special relationships with her aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, leaving a lifetime of memories for everyone who knew her...
