Dorothy A. Sommer

Dorothy (Zito) Sommer of Allston, died on December 22, 2012. Beloved wife of Sigfried Sommer. Devoted sister of Frank Zito & his wife Carol. Cherished aunt of Michael E. Zito and Jason M. Zito. A memorial services will be at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline on Sunday, January 6, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2042 Beacon St., Newton, MA 02468. Dorothy was the former owner of the American Elevator Co., after a career in merchandising women clothing for national retail stores. Dorothy graduated from Chamberlain School of Retailing, and attended the Sloan of Management, Boston, MA.
