Dear Eric, Jeffrey, and Gary,

After trying to get in touch with your father for several months by e-mail, phone, and finally by mail, all with no response, and not knowing how to get in touch with any of you,it occurred to me to check the Internet. I am so, so sorry. I did not know that Eddie was ill.  He was my big cousin when I was growing up, mostly in New York, but partly in Massachusetts. He was really my only cousin that I had any relationship with. I feel terrible. After the loss of your mother, I tried to keep in touch more frequently to keep his spirits up. 

I would love to have contact with any and all of you. Who is taking care of Irene?  I tried to call her. She could not understand who I was.

Am so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. He was a fantastic person - when I joined the OCC, he was one of the first folks to go out of his way to welcome me.  I will miss him tremendously.  Please accept my condolences....

My deepest sympathy to the Goldberg Family.  Ed was a fine man, husband and father.  I will remember and miss Ed.

My condolences to Ed's family.  Just this morning I was going to write him to discuss the virtues and travails of the Red Sox and my Indians.  

I had known him for over 35 years and it was always a joy to join him for lunch or dinner and receive his slant on the world's issues.  He will always be remembered for his intelligence and good fellowship.

Dear Goldberg's I am very sorry for your loss.  Your father was always a very nice and caring man. Please accept my deepest condolences.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Ed at McNitt & Co. for about 5 years and enjoyed working with Ed. He always had a positive outlook and would always make me laugh and smile:-) I really respected him and looked up to him. He was the strongest person I knew and had the biggest heart. I feel truly touched and honored to have known Ed. He was a stand up guy, truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed.

We are saddened to hear about your fathers untimely passing.  Our condolences to the Goldberg family. I have many fond memories of working with your father for many years at the occ.  A wonderful man, witIh great wit, and a true gentleman.  He took the time to mentor many, of which I was one.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My deepest condolences to the Goldberg family.  Some of my fondest memories working for the OCC were working for your Dad. He truly was a class act and fine gentleman.  As I reflect I get a smile as I think back to the days when we could not begin work before finishing the word jumble in the Herald. Again my sincere condolences.

I spent many great years working and learning about life from your Dad. He was a kind, gentle and peaceful man. He was one the smartest colleagues I ever worked with. We at McNitt & Co., where Ed worked since 2006, will be missed greatly.  Ed had a great sense of humor and always was most positive even when Beverly was so sick.  God bless him for all he did.
