

Eli Glickson, of Brookline, passed away peacefully in Boston, Massachusetts at age 100 on September 7, 2024.
He was born in Boston on March 29, 1924 to Raye and Oscar Glickson. He briefly attended Georgia Tech University in Atlanta before entering the US Army. Upon his discharge, he worked in the family upholstery and custom furniture business Soboff and Glickson. He later was employed as a successful salesman in the furniture department at Jordan Marsh in Framingham, Massachusetts where he eventually retired.
Eli was predeceased by his parents, his sister Cynthia (Sunny) Wayne, his wife Ruth Suskin Glickson, his former wife and the mother of his children Miriam Berger Glickson, his son Mark Glickson and grandchildren Holli Banks and Ryan Banks. Eli is survived by his daughter Raye Lynn Banks (Roy), sons Alan (LeeAnn) Harvey (Ana), grandchildren Melanie Banks Metzger (Kevin) Elliott Glickson (Sarah) and Reed Glickson and great-grandchildren Haley, Abby and Isaac Metzger and David Glickson. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Len Suskin and nieces and nephews Sara Sellitti (Tom) and David Suskin and great-nephews Jacob, Sam and Aaron who were all involved in his care and well-being, and nephews Randy Wayne (Amy) and Scott Wayne He had a strong bond with all of them. A special thanks to his longtime caregivers and companions, Lisette DaRosa and Olivia Ramos.
