
Enid A. Shapiro (Greenberg) of Brookline, formerly of Belmont, died peacefully at home on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at age 91, after a lifetime of devotion to her family and friends and her People. For 60 years, beloved wife of the late Melvin I. Shapiro. Loving mother of Laura Shapiro Kramer & Jay Kramer, Robert & Susan Shapiro, and Amy Shapiro. Cherished grandmother of Seth and Haya Kramer, Rachel, Katie, Madeleine, and Robin Shapiro, Gabriel Bartlett, and Michael Dupar. Great grandmother of Lucian Bartlett, Samuel Shelden, and Logan Carpenter. Dear sister of the late Alan Green.
Services at Temple Sinai, 50 Sewall Avenue, Brookline on Monday, May 29 at 11:00am. Interment at Sharon Memorial Park. Following the interment, family and friends are welcome to her late residence on Monday until 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-6 p.m. Further celebration of her life on Wednesday at her late residence from 2-6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Enid Shapiro Endowed Social Work Exchange at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Breast Cancer Research, Temple Sinai, Keshet, Coolidge Corner Theater Foundation, or The Right Question Institute.
