
Etta (Burman) Wolfe-Madoff, age 98, of Delray Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 with her loving family at her side. Etta, formerly of West Roxbury leaves behind a legacy of public service to the City of Boston, first as a teacher of Kindergarten, and then as an Administrator of the Early Childhood Education Program. She was a past president of the Pythian Sisters and a life member of Hadassah as well as an active volunteer at Hebrew SeniorLife. Her charitable giving was bestowed upon numerous local and national organizations. Etta is survived by her two sons Barry Madoff and Dr. Kenneth & Linda Madoff, her grandchildren Rhonda & Joseph Beninati, Stephanie Madoff and Mitchell & Johanna Madoff, six great grandchildren, and her brother Jack Burman. She was predeceased by her husbands Mark Madoff and Abraham Wolfe and her sisters Ida Salamoff and Beatrice Goldman. Etta will be sorely missed by those who had the privilege to know this kind and loving woman. Services at the Levine Chapel, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline on Friday, May 2 at 12:00 noon.
