Frances Rosen

Frances Rosen, of Dedham, formerly of Boston and Chelsea, age 91 years, on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. She was the beloved sister of Charles Rosen & his wife Elaine of Newton and the late Sam Rosen of Andover, the aunt of Julie Rosen & her husband Gary Belowich of Newton and Michele Hagan of Lexington. She was the great aunt of Josh, Aaron & Emily Belowich and Matthew & Ben Hagan. She graduated Northeastern with a degree in chemistry in 1946. She worked for Arthur D. Little, Raytheon and Hughes Aircraft. Later she and her brother, Sam, founded Microloss, a manufacturer of components for the US space program and Panelmatch, a national hardware distributor. Services at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St., Brookline on Friday, February 14 at 11:00am. Burial at the Chevra Kadusha of Chelsea Cemetery, “C” St. roadway off Washington St., Woburn. Memorial observance Friday only, immediately following the burial through 4pm and continuing 5-8pm at home of Julie Rosen & Gary Belowich.
