Frank Nasisi, 84, of Boston, passed away in his sleep on October 18. He was deeply loved by his family and by relatives and friends.
Frank was born on a leap day on February 29, 1940 to Sarina and Salvatore Nasisi in Basico, Italy. He was an avid soccer player as a child and also developed a love for singing and playing the guitar. He immigrated to the United States in his 20s and stayed with his extended Italian family in West Roxbury.
Frank was a mechanical engineer and served in a variety of positions at General Tire, and W.R. Grace before becoming the President and CEO of the multinational company Daramic, Inc. He traveled extensively for his jobs and enjoyed visiting his friends, family, and connections across the globe.
After retiring, he enjoyed spending time with his three children, Sol (Alison) Nasisi of Newton, Cyrelle McNew of Boston, and Cara Nasisi of Brooklyn. He especially liked spending time with his seven grandchildren Jake, Ben, Jason, Julia, Brad, Mitch, and Mordechai. He could be found on most Saturday mornings in Newton rooting on his grandkids at soccer and basketball games, taking them for pizza afterwards, and providing advice and support.
He is survived by his sister Rosetta Nasisi of Boston, who lived in the apartment next to him, his sister Maria Tiano of Messina, Italy, his three children and grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces in Italy.
Services will be held at Temple Beth Avodah, 45 Puddingstone Lane, Newton, MA, on Tuesday, October 22, at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at Mohliver Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA.
Following the burial, family and friends are welcome to join the family for a gathering at Sol & Alison's home.
