

Gail (Weinstein) Rubin, of Wellesley died on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the age of 71. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Michael A. Rubin. Devoted mother of Jocelyn Ulrich and her husband James of Potomac, MD, Nicole Sanom and her husband Samuel of Needham, MA, and Jared Rubin and his wife Karen of Somerville, MA. Loving Grammy GiGi of Augustus and Laureanna Ulrich, Eli and Madelyn Sanom, Mia and Liv Rubin. Dear sister of Peggy Opalek and her husband Carl.
Gail loved attending the Boston Symphony Orchestra, local Opera and the Ballet. She was an avid traveler and had many adventures in Egypt, Peru, India, Thailand, Panama Canal, Myanmar, and most recently Morocco. These adventures helped her hone her skills as a photographer. Trained as a nurse at Columbia School of Nursing, Gail was a passionate advocate for women’s rights, and taught Lamaze and breastfeeding classes throughout her career. She worked for Planned Parenthood of Brookline for several years before helping manage her husband’s dental practice. She was an active member of the Wellesley Country Club and Temple Beth Elohim of Wellesley, Massachusetts.
Services will be held at Temple Beth Elohim, 10 Bethel Road, Wellesley on Friday, January 5 at 10:00AM, followed by interment at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon. Memorial observance on Friday, January 5 from 1-3:00M at Temple Beth Elohim.
