Prof. Zimmerman was such a gentleman, a good mentor, as well as a great mind. He and his lovely wife chatted with me about my new industry career in 2017 when I was entitled PhD Physics. He was very sharp and joked about his new car being smarter than himself when I tried to explain autonomous driving technology to him. It is so hard to believe he has just left us. Rest in peace, Prof. Zimmerman! I miss you!
