

Harvey J. Rosenfield, of Jamaica Plain, December 21, 2018. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Odette, and his son, Michael. They adored him and were so proud of him. He is also survived by his sister, Gail Frischberg of Cherry Hill, NJ; his nephew Daniel Frischberg of Cherry Hill, NJ, his niece Michelle Frischberg Perez, her husband Stephen, and their children, Alyssa, Jordan, and Kara, of Cherry Hill, NJ. He is also survived by his first cousins: Freddie Gamer of Brookline, Paul Springer of Mansfield, Cynthia Wassarman of Delray Beach, FL, and Frances Gamer of Hull.
Harvey grew up in Brookline and graduated from Brookline High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from MIT and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from WPI. After working for IBM, he created his own small business called Rosenfield and Associates, Inc., which he ran for decades. Harvey focused on computer programming and data processing near the beginning of the computer age. He traveled the world with his family, but was happiest at home, sharing countless memories with his wife and son. Harvey was passionate about Congregation Kehillath Israel in Brookline, where he was a former past president, and the longtime gabbai of the shul. He made everyone feel welcome there, and loved his role every Saturday morning for years, assisting in services and greeting old friends and new faces in the crowd. He was a true gentleman.
Funeral services for Harvey will take place on Monday, December 24, at 10:00 AM at Congregation Kehillath Israel, 384 Harvard St., Brookline, MA. Interment immediately following at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon, MA.
Shiva will be observed Monday through Thursday, December 24-27, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the family home.
