Ida Metelitsa

Ida Metelitsa passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, at the age of 94, surrounded by her devoted family. Born in Slavuta, Ukraine, the cherished daughter of David and Sonya, Ida was guided throughout her life by the enduring values of family, Jewish tradition, and hard work. Known from an early age for her warmth, sense of responsibility, and deep commitment to those she loved, she carried these qualities with grace and strength throughout her life. She will be remembered for her wisdom, strength, determination, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Ida dedicated herself to her children, Dina and Matthew, with boundless love, patience, and generosity. She took great joy in her growing family, embracing her role as grandmother to four grandchildren and great‑grandmother to two great‑grandchildren. She cherished family gatherings and holidays, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

Her strength of spirit and gentle nature touched all who knew her; may her memory be a blessing.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 12:30 PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 1668 Beacon Street, Brookline, with interment to follow at Kopaigorod cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury.
