We invite you to join us in remembering and honoring the life of my mother, Inna Alexandrov, a woman of extraordinary energy, generosity, and beauty. She was not only a devoted wife and protective mother, but also a woman who could do it all: cook unforgettable meals, build a career in computer science, plan our family’s immigration to the United States, and later even help sew and pack books in her daughter Simona’s bookstore. There was truly nothing she couldn’t do, and she did it all with love and strength.
Inna’s life was shaped by resilience. As a child, she survived the siege of Leningrad and an evacuation to the Ural mountains, where she endured hardships that would later give her both grit and determination. She made a new life in America with her husband, Felix, and always made sure her daughter had opportunities to grow, learn, and create. She gave her family everything she had — from beautiful clothes and private lessons to her boundless support and encouragement. Even in retirement, she remained by Simona’s side, working and helping, with her characteristic energy.
Though we will miss her more than words can say, we also celebrate the life she lived — one filled with responsibility, humor, beauty, and love. We welcome all friends and family who knew her to come together and remember her remarkable spirit. Felix and Simona will hold her close in their hearts forever.
