I remember Jacob from elementary school. I was in the same grade as Jared and I remember him from SED. One time I remember my mom and I were driving by a temple and we noticed someone selling jewelry outside. We decided to stop and look and it was Jacob selling his own jewelry which he made. Rest in awesome, Jacob.

We weren't close, but I met Jacob at camp, and he always inspired me. He was so carefree and kind to everyone, he lit up the whole camp. Recently I have found it hard to not think about him. But I don't think I ever want to stop. He was such an inspiration, and although we were not close, I will always miss him dearly and remember him fondly.

I will always remember the little boy who never failed to compliment me on something I was wearing.  Your bright kind spirit will be missed by all who knew you.  Love to Anne, Doug and Jared. My heart goes out to you Annie, Doug and Jared.  Such an unimaginable loss that words cannot do justice to convey my sympathy.  My Jacob's memory always be a blessing.

I didn't know Jacob, but understand he loved cats.  I gave mine a special hug in his honor.  I think he would have liked it.  I'm so very sorry for your loss, Doug and Anne.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so very sorry for your loss.  I loved that young man as if he were my own. Enjoyed taking him out in NYC when we were both there.  Looked forward to his visits to the orthodontist and he always made sure to give me a hug.

I never did get to meet Jacob, but reading through these posts, he obviously brought much joy to the many people who were blessed to have him in their life.  That's not surprising to me, because having Doug Weiskopf as my next door neighbor freshman year at Cornell was one of the highlights of my college experience. Jacob will always hold a special place in my heart as one of my good friends from childhood. Jacob was the type of person to light up anyone he encountered or any room that he walked into. He was simply just a one of a kind person that after meeting him you would never forget him. His passion for fashion was contagious as was his smile that was always shining from ear to ear. Though Jacob and I weren't the best of friends he always had a special ora about him that made everyone want to be around him. Though my time spent with him last summer was short his spirit will forever live on and I will never forget the happiness he brought to my world and all others around as well. Rest in peace Jacob, you will truly be missed.

Jacob leaves a heartbreaking hole that cannot be filled.  That won't change.  But he leaves us with inspiration and memories of his joy, his laughter, his smile, his caring, his courage.  For these things we are grateful, even in our deep grief.

Anne, Doug and Jared, I can't even imagine what you are all going through now as you mourn the loss of beloved son and brother.  I remember well the joy that both boys' birth brought to Anne and the visceral pride she felt as she shared stories and photos with clients and co-workers alike.  I have thoroughly enjoyed following the exploits of your family through the years via social media.  Your relationship to and pride in Jacob leaps off the screen.  While I didn't know him as a young man, it is very easy to see that he was remarkable-talented, courageous, loving-just like his mother.  My heart breaks for you all as you move on holding Jacob in you minds and heart without being able to hold him in your arms.  Much love and prayers for peace.

Jacob, what a beautiful complex spirit you were. Years melted in your presence, we were the same. Now you render me speechless Jacob for no words will ever be enough. Love is all we have.

Jacob was a bright light that even the sun had to notice when he came out. You quickly became one of my favorite people Jacob.

Jacob made me feel accepted when other rejected me, consoled me when others put me down, and generally made me happier when in his presence. I have so many memories with him from being with him for such a short time, and I can happily say that every single one puts a smile on my face. I can't believe that he's gone at such a young age. He had so much more left to experience, and so many more lives to enlighten, just like mine. He radiated happiness, he made every day exciting, and he could always make me laugh. He's going to be greatly missed by everyone. But I'm so grateful to have met him and shared so many good times with him. I love you and miss you so much Jacob. I hope you're resting in peace.

Jacob, you have brought so much joy to the world and to our lives over the past 17 years. We have nothing but the fondest memories of time spent with you throughout your life. What a charming sense of humor.  It takes a strong man to make a stand for their beliefs and principles when it may not be popular do so amongst your peers. Having been a counselor of yours is easily one of the single greatest memories I'll have of Medolark.  I'm proud to have watched you grow as a person and as a poet in the all-too-short time we had together.  Your words, your deeds, and your spirit will never be forgotten.

Jacob was such a good friend to my daughter, Suzie.  He brought incredible humor and warmth into her life. I am grateful that he traveled to New Jersey to spend time with her, and for the wonderful times they had at camp together.  Our family sends our love and prayers to the Weiskopfs at this time of great loss. He was a wonderful young man.

While Jacob was never a student in my classroom at Loring, I have so many wonderful memories of him.  When I think of him, I can still, so clearly, picture him running around at recess playing chase......smiling and laughing.

What words could capture the spirit of sweet, beautiful Jacob?  He was a living poem, a summer breeze even in the most wintry moments. And you are ever missed Jacob.

Jacob was a creative young man, whose smile and energy brightened any room that he was in. I have fond memories of apple-picking with Jacob and the other teen youth in the BNTY group. We are keeping the entire Weiskopf family in our thoughts and prayers during this very sad time.

We were so proud to honor Jacob with the Zev Heilman Memorial Scholarship at Congregation B'nai Torah just a few years ago.  Jacob showed such grace, intelligence, humor, and dedication throughout the process, and in sharing his final project with the children in the Hebrew School.  He was clearly a treasure, and will be missed.

Jacob, words can't describe the impact you had on my life.
