I am on her favorite boat ride to the Vineyard. We went for jewish New Year so many years. We had a lot fun. I miss her so.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Janet’s passing. She was our neighbor at the Barclay House in Brookline, and I always enjoyed our conversations—whether we were talking about traveling, sharing stories about cruises, or chatting about Izzy and my daughter’s sports activities. Janet was always so interested and genuinely curious about others. She was such a fun and kind person.

My heartfelt condolences to everyone who knew and loved Janet. May her memory be a blessing.

Let me first tell my Janet to RIP ❤️
So a funny memory..
I was Janet and Sandy’s roommate back in 1974..after that I rented an apartment with another friend in a private home..
Well, it was a much older home with lots of old style wallpaper.. so Janet , my partner in crime, and I decided how bad could it be to paint my bedroom over the wallpaper..
Oh boy did we screw up !!!
After we got 2 walls done we noticed Huge bubbles growing out of the walls.. we panicked!! The only person who would k ow what to do was her Father.. who we called at about 2 in the morning!! 
He was Not Happy plus he scared us even more !! He was even angrier when we admitted we painted over paper and Never Got Permission!!
We had to get pins and pop all of the bubbles.. hard to see them through our crying ( from panic, hysteria and anxiety)
I think we got no sleep..BTW the  owner of the house wasn’t very happy😱but once the bubbles were popped it looked pretty good.. but.. the remaining 2 walls stayed wallpapered and the painted walls Totally clashed with the paper..
We always remembered that story..
Love you Janet.. I know you will be watching over all of us.

Janet reminded me of the importance of loyalty in relationships. She touched my heart, and that is where she will stay. After 45 years of friendship, I will miss her.

My heart goes out to the family Janet you will be missed at Thanksgiving dinner! I will also miss going on the doggy cruise with you and Izzy! May you rest in peace!

I met Janet on Beacon Street while we were walking our dogs - Izzy, so sweet!

She had told me about her health issues. I wished her well (literally) and kept her in my prayers. I was stunned when I learned the news. And, of course, I was very sad. Janet ALWAYS had a smile, Izzy, a tail-wag.

The world has lost a bright light of friendliness, warmth and humor. 💔

To the Janet Boris family and Sandra, 

There is a deep sense of loss of my dear friend Janet and my coworker nurse at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. 
A special person full of life, cared for many people, personable in her interactions as she crafted her medical skills for excellent care and good outcomes. We did many critical cases together in Interventional Radiology.  She used her limited Yiddish gently reassuring elderly Jewish patients that they were in safe hands.
Will miss the times we had lunch and dinner together in New York and Boston.   Our ups and downs, joys and disappointments, personal struggles, and listening to each other along the way, especially on our walks with Izzy.  Our social, political and medical views were ”simpatico”.
After moving to New York there were still many back-and-forths to Boston for family, medical situations and friends which we had in both cities. Her friends, my friends, and friends of others became known to each other. That was Janet's social reach of connections with everyone. Such a girl.

I remember how kind, bright and vibrant Janet and you both were.  It is not surprising that she became a nurse since she was always such a caring person.

Dear Sandy and family , I am so sorry for your loss. One of the things that I remember most about. Janet was our long walks with Izzy throughout the pandemic, in all kinds of weather. I could always count on a walk with Janet and Izzy to bring structure to my day is throughout the pandemic . After the pandemic, we took a couple of boat trips around the harbor with Izzy, which both loved very much. Wow! I’m very sorry to hear about your loss. And, of course, I will come to Shiva. Please let me know if I can do anything for you. It’s good to hear that Izzy will be taken care of by Gabe and his family.

I am heart broken over the loss of Janet. We both lived at 50/60 longwood.  She was always so cheerful and fun. Always there if someone needed help or support.  She was so excited about Emily’s  wedding and the cruise she took to celebrate the coming wedding. I remember when Alice was born and later when Janet babysat Alice,  and we all piled into her apartment to ooh and awe…..
      She loved Passover at Sandy’s with all the great nieces and nephews. 
        But what I remember most is after  her nightly walks with Issy they would drop over.  (50-60 longwood was very much an older person’s dormitory) and talk about her day.
