Janet Salem

Janet Salem, 94 of Wellesley, MA, formerly of Newton, MA and Jupiter, FL, passed away peacefully, in her home, on Thursday, July 20, 2023. Devoted and loving wife of 63 years to Eugene Salem, who predeceased her in 2014. Caring and doting mother to Richard (Liz) Salem of Paia, HI, David (Amory) Salem of Cambridge, MA, and Karen (John) Sabatino of Concord, MA. Proudest and loving grandmother to Jamie (Anna) Salem, Leigh (Lauren) Salem, Emma Salem, Caroline (Morgan) Shannon, Virginia (Peter) Sargent, Peter Shannon, Thea and Torin Salem, Kiley (Nick) DeMarco and Derek (Mary Lauren) Sabatino. Prouder still to be great-grandmother to Sam, Jones, Penny, Max, Finley, Rowan, Dakota, Sophie and Charlie. Sister of Barbara (Paul) Feinberg; sister-in-law to Judith Garelick; and sister of the late David Garelick and Jules (Judy) Garel. Also sister-in-law to Sandi Salem and the late Henry Salem and the late Robert and Dorothy Salamoff. Much loved daughter of the late Pauline and Max Garelick. Janet will be missed for her sharp wit and even sharper mind by many cousins, friends, nieces, nephews and neighbors.

A Service will be held on Friday, July 28th at 1:00 pm at the Chapel at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA, followed by a brief Graveside Service.
