He is survived by his long-time loving partner Dianne Teves. He also leaves his cousins Howard Rosenberg of Reno, NV; Mark Pearlstein of Baltimore, MD; Beth Golden of Millis, MA; Jerry Pearlstein of Boston, MA; and Toby Pearlstein of Revere, MA as well as many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Dr. Robert I. and Sally F. Diamond of Boston and Winthrop.
Jonathan graduated from Columbia University of NY. After graduation he enlisted in the Army National Guard. After his honorable discharge he taught Economics and Sociology at local Boston colleges.
He was a life-long antique car enthusiast which led him to his own business of restoring and selling antique cars. He was a member and former Vice-President of the Bay State Antique Auto Club of Dedham. He was also a member of the Early Ford V8 Club of New England, the Cadillac LaSalle Club, the New England Antique Race Car Club, the Classic Car Club and the Antique Automobile Club of America.
Services will be held on Friday, April 28 at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 1668 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA. Dianne will be receiving visitors at 10:30 AM with the service to follow at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Ohavi Sedeck Cemetery, 350 Grove Street, West Roxbury, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Dedham, 55 Anna's Place, Dedham, MA 02026.
