Joseph Ellis Meyers passed away peacefully at his home in Framingham on April 7, 2022, after a 35-year battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was born to Alan and Dorothy (Frankle) Meyers on June 1, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA and grew up in Bradford, PA. He leaves behind his loving wife, Estelle Burg, his sons, Danny Meyers, of Cambridge, MA, and Jacob Meyers, of Brooklyn NY, and his brother and his sister-in-law, David Meyers and Toni Ballard, of Amesbury, MA. Joe’s greatest loves were his family, friends, music, tennis, chess, fine dining and quality beer.
A memorial service was held on Monday, April 11 at Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland, followed by internment at Beit Olam East Cemetery in Wayland. Donations in Joseph’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
