

Judith B. (Bedrick) Mir, of Brookline and Bedford, died on Friday, October 8, 2021. She leaves her daughter Lisa Mir of Los Angeles and her son Jonathan Mir, daughter-in-law Christine Grounds and grandsons Nicholas and Alexander Mir of New York City. She also leaves her brother Edward Bedrick, sister-in-law Amy Brantz of Philadelphia and her niece Nina Bedrick of New York City. Judy survived her late husband Leon Mir. She also leaves her partner, John P. Rudy of Bedford, formerly of Lexington.
Judy was a senior marketing and research analyst for advertising and public relations firms in the fashion industry in New England. After retirement, she served on the Board of Directors for Jewish Family & Children’s Service for ten years as a member of the Executive Committee. Judy served on the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Brookline Library and the Board of Directors for the Brookline Multi Service Senior Center Corp. (parent of the Brookline Senior Center). She also served on the Advisory Board of the Brandeis Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (BOLLI).
Judy was a photographer and oil painter with a particular interest in seascapes. She had a vibrant curiosity, was a life-long learner, loved to travel, was an avid reader and was loving and loyal to her family and friends. She had a keen sense of fashion and a real appreciation for design.
Services were held at Temple Emanuel Tuesday, October 12 in Newton and internment was at Sharon Memorial Park in Sharon.
