Ken served honorably as a U.S Marine aboard the aircraft carrier USS Wasp in World War II, where he achieved the rank of Private First Class. He took great pride in his service to our country and as a member of the US Marine Corp. He proudly wore his US Marine cap wherever he went, and it was not unusual for him to be stopped by individuals who would not just thank him for his service but inquire about his experience. As a member of the greatest generation, he was proud to share his experiences with anyone who asked.
But most important to Ken was his love of family. He took great pride in seeing his family grow over the years and in hearing stories of their adventures and successes. It was his devotion and love of family first that will stay with all of us forever.
The family would also like to thank the staff at Goddard House in Brookline, MA, and the team at Harbor Health Services/Elder Services (Pace) in Mattapan for the care and love they showed him and his family.
