

Lester “Les” Werblin, age 93, of Weston, formerly of Waltham on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. For 69 years, he was the beloved husband of Rhoda (Paletz) Werblin. Loving father of Steven & Gaye Werblin, Richard & Cathy Werblin and Ross & Risa Werblin. Adored grandfather of Andrew, Jenna & Matt, Amy & Reto, Lesley & Jess, Hannah & Aaron, Elana, and Joshua. Dear brother of Ruth Lonstein and the late Marshall Werblin.
Born in Worcester, MA he graduated from Worcester Classical High School and was drafted into the U.S. Army in Feb, 1945. Initially he served in Japan as a heavy machine gunner and later as a Military Policeman. After his service Les attended New England Aircraft School at Boston University. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer for many defense department projects, including the Sparrow 3 air to air missile, and the Hawk ground to aircraft missile. He was also a partner at his own firm, Liberty Engineering of Waltham.
Les was an avid gardener, photographer, coin and stamp collector and woodworker. His greatest joy was to see his children and grandchildren grow up. He was so proud of what they accomplished.
Due to the current health crisis, funeral services, with military honors, were private.
