

Linda J. Goldberg, of Natick, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the age of 83. Born in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Max Garber and Sarah (Freeman) Garber Danis.
Those left behind to always remember Linda include her devoted children: Michael Goldberg and his wife Carol Gerwin, and Merilee Maeir and her husband Joshua; her treasured grandchildren: Tuvya Maeir, Max Goldberg, Aryeh Maeir and Jon Goldberg; and her cherished companion, Al Schneider; as well as a large extended family and close friends.
Linda was predeceased by her husband of 52 years of blessed memory, Joel; and by her beloved sister, Bernice Moskowitz.
In addition to raising her family, Linda was an accomplished fiction writer. Her 2008 collection Here I Am, includes stories, many published in literary magazines, inspired by her growing up in the vibrant Dorchester Jewish community among a large multigenerational family.
Services will take place at 10:30 AM on December 5, 2025, at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 1668 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA. Interment immediately following at Agudath Israel Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA. Shiva will be observed on December 5, following the burial until 4 p.m. at Michael’s home in Brookline; as well as on Sunday, December 7, at Linda’s former home in Natick, from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by minyan; on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Michael’s home; and from Monday through Wednesday at Merilee’s home in Sharon.
