Lorraine Rosenthal

Lorraine Rosenthal of Newton passed away in Needham on March 26, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Gershon “Getty” Rosenthal. Devoted mother of Debra (Robert Gelles) of Needham, Mitchell (Blythe Heepe) of ME, and Amy Fay of CA. Sister of the late Seena (Ralph) Karsh. Daughter of the late Max and Bella Miller. Loving grandmother of Andrew (Jessica) Gelles, Alexandra (Benjamin) Etscovitz, Lev Rosenthal, Will Rosenthal, and Ethan Miller. Proud great-grandmother of Bella, Clara, Ruby and Rose.

Lorraine retired after 25 years as an Executive Secretary at Harvard Dental School. She was also an accomplished singer and artist. Lorraine loved being with her family most of all.

Funeral Services will be held at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St., Brookline at 10:30AM on Wednesday, March 29th. Burial will follow at Butrimantzy Cemetery, Baker St., West Roxbury. Following buria,l shiva will be in the Community Room at Rosemary Ridge, 100 Rosemary Way, Needham until 4:00PM and continue from 6:00-8:00PM and on Thursday from 2:00-4:00PM & 6:00-8:00PM.
