Marilyn Jane Riseberg, 83, of Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, passed away on May 10, 2026, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Marilyn was predeceased by her husband Leslie Riseberg and her son Andrew. She is survived by her daughter Jocelyn Scheirer, son-in-law Eric Scheirer, and grandchildren Cassandra and Alexander Scheirer.
Marilyn was born in Malden, Massachusetts and attended Malden High School. She graduated from Malden High School and earned a B.A. in French from Brandeis University in 1964. She had a varied career, including real estate management, health care management, and a brief tenure as an analyst at the National Security Agency.
Before her decline, Marilyn enjoyed entertaining, travel, playing bridge and Mahjongg, and spending time with her family and wide circle of friends
Marilyn was comforted in her last years by her loving caregiver, Beatrice Owusu, to whom the family is deeply grateful.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 11:30am at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline, Massachusetts. Interment will take place following the services at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, Massachusetts.
Shiva will be held from 3:00–8:00pm on May 13–15 at Hampton Place in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
