

Marolyn Katz, formerly of Milton, Newton, and Plymouth, surrounded by her family, peacefully, on November 26, 2025. Marolyn was born in Lawrence, MA in 1933 to Norma & Jack Silverman. For 51 years, and in her heart thereafter, she was married to the true love of her life, Leon. Loving mother of Steven Katz, Laura Wiesman (John), and Paul Katz (Sharon). Adored grandmother of Rebecca and Samuel Wiesman and Jacob Katz. Dear sister of the late Harold Silverman and Joseph Silverman. She is also survived by her cherished nieces and nephews.
A proud graduate of the Beth Israel Hospital School of Nursing, she was a lifelong nurse at heart, and always connected and bonded with her care providers. Skilled at knitting, needlepoint, and much more, her creations continue to be cherished by loved ones. One of her greatest pleasures was gathering her family together and she ensured that there was no such thing as too much dessert.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 28th at 10:00 am in Temple Emeth Memorial Park, 776 Baker St., West Roxbury. Memorial observance at the home of Laura & John Wiesman from 4-8:00 pm on Sunday and Paul & Sharon Katz on Monday from 6-8:00 pm.
