Miriam (Freydberg) Mendoza, 87, of Canton formerly of Brookline entered into rest on Monday, April 24, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Joel G. Mendoza and Jerome Horwitz. Devoted mother of Steven Horwitz of Brookline, Lorraine Gleason and her husband Jackie of Brookline, Diane Halpern and her husband Kenneth of Newton, and Jeffrey Horwitz and his wife Stephanie of Atlanta, GA. Cherished grandmother of Jake, Jay, Melissa, Jordan, Erika, Ross, Jonah and Amelia. Services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 1668 Beacon Street, Brookline on Wednesday, April 26 at 1:30PM. Burial will follow at the Hand In Hand Cemetery, 2659 Centre Street, West Roxbury. Memorial Observance will be at the Halpern residence immediately following burial until 9PM.
