

Morgan J. Levine, of Boston, formerly of Nantucket and Oxford, England on Monday, March 19, 2018 at age 90. Husband of Ann W. Kaye and father of Rebecca Levine Quigley and grandfather of Daniyel Yisra’el Ben-Asher. Also survived by his brother Richard Levine and sister Jane List and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Levine was born in New Bedford, a grandson of a whaling captain and had a lifelong love of marine antiquities and art. He was a graduate of Oxford University’s Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Arts, and was a past member of the Chelsea Arts Club in London and was the past Chairman of the Art Committee at Saint Botolph Club in Boston. Morgan was a Navy veteran during the Korean War and with his late wife, Sarah Levine, was the owners of the Four Winds and the Four Winds Craft Guild of Nantucket. He was a lifetime member of the NAACP and founding president of Shirat Ha Yam Congregation of Nantucket. A celebration of his life will be held on April 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at 505 Tremont Street, in the fourth floor library. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the Food For The Poor.
