I’ve been out of the rink game for a couple of decades. Just thought about Murray and found the company had changed hands and name.  That search brought me here.  

Was thinking of the first time I called to place an order. He answered the phone “Sandler!”  I gave him my name and location in Florida. He replied, I thought you were in Vegas? My dad, same name, was also a customer.  Loved how he remembered everyone. 

Remember and miss the yearly calls.

Donna,  You did such a great job with the shiva!  We felt Murray was there!  I was one of Murray and Lois's first customers and we became true friends.  Your parents taught Karen and I the finer restaurants and myself the best cigars.  We will miss him!!        He was a true and classic gentleman !  I privilege to know!

So well spoken, when noted that Murray was "the last of his kind". I had many years in the ice rink industry where I met many exceptional people. No one was more classy and wonderful than Murray Sandler.

Dear Donna, So sorry for the loss of Murray. I'm sure he'd be proud of the way you stood by him during the last weeks and months. 
I consider myself so fortunate to have been a frequent customer of Murray Sandler Skate Supply; always enjoying the banter out front amongst the sales staff, who all answered to the front office General, Lois. Getting her to smile was always my goal when I entered the store, and I am chagrinned to admit that I didn't ALWAYS succeed! 
Being invited back to Murray's inner sanctum for a friendly chat was always a treat. I can close my eyes and see his smile and smell the cigar fragrance that permeated the office where it all happened!  
From the time in the 80s when he opened the store at 9pm to sell me a can of green ice paint for my in-ice SEASON'S GREETINGS to last year's 90th birthday party where Murray proclaimed upon opening one gift "I finally have my own Zamboni! I must call Richard!" Murray was the consummate ice rink industry industrialist!
I am so sorry I cannot make the service, my condolences to all who mourn the loss of Murray.

My deepest sympathy and condolences go out to the Sandler family in this time of sorrow and grief.  I had the pleasure of dealing with Murray throughout my 28 years in the ice skating industry.  He was always willing to help and one of the most caring people in this industry.  He'll be deeply missed among all his friends in the ice skating industry, whom he treated like one of his own family members.  He was truly a gentleman.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Sandler family.

Lois and Donna:  We were so sad to hear of Murray's passing.  He was a very special man and we are honored to have known him and call him a friend and boss.  Such a one of a kind man.  He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Murray. He was a true gentleman who exuded class and professionalism.
Those of us that were fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to know him are truly better people because of it.

Donna, you are in my thoughts and in my prayers today.  It was the greatest joy to meet your father and to be able to get to know him over the years as a patient and a friend.  Thinking of you and your Mom. I will miss seeing him and you during your visits to boston.
