Nancy Ruth Stern

Died on 6/13/16 at the age of 82 in Newton, formerly of Needham & Framingham. Nancy was raised in Brookline by her parents Marvin & Florence Webber (Winkler). She graduated from Brookline High, Tufts University & BU School of Social Work. Family was important to Nancy. She leaves behind the love of her life, her granddaughter Natalie Flora. She took great pride in attending all of Natalie’s dance & theatre performances. She was the beloved mother of Melisa Stern & Steven Stern, both of Dover, & wife of her former husband, Burt Stern of Wellesley. She is survived by her brother Harris (Myra) Webber of FL & was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Mark Podsedly. Nancy was a life member of the Brandeis National Women’s Committee & ran their “New Books for Old Sale”. Services to be held on Thursday at 12 noon at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon St, Brookline. Friends invited to visit at 11:15am & to attend the burial to follow at Golden Crown Cemetery, 19 Washington St, Woburn.
