Robert "Bob" Berk

Robert “Bob” Berk , age 70, of Newton passed away peacefully on Friday, December 21, 2018. Bob was born to Elsa and Marion in Poland and emigrated to Israel and then the United States. Bob enjoyed spending time with family, loved music and dancing, beach vacations on Cape Cod, and treasured both old and new friendships. Bob was generous, a man of integrity, and loved the simple pleasures of life. Bob was the beloved husband of Joan (Shapiro) Berk, loving father of Rachel Bright and her husband Aaron and Lauren Berk, adored grandfather of Ethan and Simon, and dear brother-in-law of Judy Cantin and her sons.

Funeral services at Temple Emanuel, 385 Ward Street, Newton on Monday, December 24 at 11:30am. Burial at Shara Tfilo Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury. Following burial, a shiva will be held at Rachel and Aaron’s home until 5:00pm on Monday only.
