Ruth (Jacobs) Dangel "Ruthie", age 93 of Newton, June 1, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Edward S. Dangel. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Edward T. Dangel III and Bonni J. Widdoes of Boston, Philip M. and Becky Dangel of Knoxville, and Susan R. Dangel of Cambridge. Devoted and always fun grandmother and great-grandmother of Justin E. Dangel of Boston, Julianna E. Dangel and Michael D. Milberg of Los Angeles, Paul M., Sandy and Shelby Dangel of Birmingham, Keith E., Meredith and Henry Dangel of Durham, Edward Garrett Dangel of Knoxville, TN., Lily Dangel Geismer of Los Angeles, and Sarah R. Geismer of Los Angeles. A lifelong resident of Boston and proud graduate of Girls' Latin School and Wheaton College, Ruthie was loved by all for her generosity, thoughtfulness, friendliness, and extreme love of life. Services will be held at Temple Israel, 477 Longwood Avenue, (Parking on the Riverway) Boston, where her family were among the founding members, on Monday, June 4 at 1:00pm with a reception following at 11 Chestnut Street, Boston. Visiting hours will be 2-4 p.m., June 6 at Ruthie's late residence, 250 Hammond Pond Parkway, Chestnut Hill.
