Samuel Elliot Rogers of Bloomfield, CT and formerly of Brookline, MA, passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 95.
Devoted and beloved husband of Naomi Rogers and the late Rita Rogers. Cherished father of Eric Rogers & his wife Robin of St. Louis, MO, and Laurel Rogers & her husband Jeff Saltzman of Northampton, MA. Loved by his five grandchildren Carolyn Day, Jennifer Rogers, Clayton Rogers, Benjamin Saltzman, Rebecca Saltzman and his two great-grandchildren Ryan and Leyna Day.
Samuel will be remembered for his passionate love of family, gardening, sailing and tackling anything that needed fixing. He was enthusiastic about fitness, and even in his later years was a star patient with the physical therapy team. Sam was a devoted husband and father and was always willing to lend a hand. He had an impact on people with his kindness and generosity. As some have said, “he was one of the good ones”.
Graveside services at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA on Sunday, March 2nd at 9:45 am.
