Shirley Berman (Smith), age 89, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, formerly of Needham, Massachusetts passed away on October 18, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Albert M. Berman for 55 years. Loving mother of Betsy Atin of Toronto, Canada and Neal Berman (the late Robin Berman) of St. Louis, Missouri. Devoted grandmother of Jared Atin, Stephanie Atin (Jack Butler), Lindsey Berman and Erica Berman. Shirley graduated from Brooklyn College and worked as a teacher before moving with Al to raise their family in Needham. She was a champion bridge player, active in many charitable organizations, and became an unexpected dog lover. She will be sadly missed by many friends and bridge players in Florida and Massachusetts.
Funeral services were held on October 21, 2021 in West Roxbury, Massachusetts.
