Shirley B. (Meltzer) Katz, of Newton, New Seabury & Boynton Beach, FL died on Monday, November 14, 2011. Beloved wife of Samuel Katz and the late George Bernstein and the late Joseph Waldstein. Loving mother of Rhonda & Stewart Lassner of Boston, Steven & Cathy Waldstein of Scarborough, ME, Dr. Roberta Bernstein & Vicki Sand of Valatia, NY, Judy Bernstein of Brookline and Steven & Carol Bernstein of Stoughton. Adored grandmother of Beth & Georgia Lassner, Joseph, Adam & Laura Waldstein, Sarah & David Weintraub and Jeremy Bernstein and great grandmother of Alex, Marley and Oliver. Dear sister of Dr. Jack & Joanne Meltzer of Marblehead. Services at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St., Brookline on Thursday, November 17 at 1:00pm. Burial in Sharon Memorial Park. Memorial observance Thursday through 8:00pm, Friday 1-3pm and Sunday 1-4pm at her late residence.
