

Born in Boston to the late Yetta and Nathan Sacon, Stan was a graduate of Boston Latin School, Brandeis University and Boston University where he received his Ph.D. in psychology. Stan was the first psychologist in private practice in Massachusetts. Along with his dear friend, Dr. Alan Gruber, he served as CEO of South Shore Counseling Associates. He later served as President and CEO of Alpha Geriatric Services, and CEO of South Shore Medical Center at Atrius. Stan was passionate about health care.
He married the love of his life, Carol Bloom, 53 years ago. They were each other's best friend.
Adored father of Jennifer Sacon & her husband Scott Hochfelder and Gregory Sacon & his wife Sally. Treasured “Biggie” to his grandchildren; Noah, Alexandra, Ely, Edward and Jane. Loving brother of Leonard Sacon & his wife Nancy, and of brother-in-law Richard Bloom. Cherished uncle to Neal, Debbie, Eric, Gary, Sam and Julia and their families. Much loved by many cousins. Dear friend and trusted confidante to countless people throughout his life. Stan loved making people laugh and he was good at it. A passionate sports fan, Stan said his greatest joy came from his children and his grandchildren, and that family was his greatest accomplishment. He meant it and he lived it.
Services at Congregation Sha’aray Shalom, 1112 Main Street, Hingham on Monday, July 18 at 11:00am. Burial to follow at Or Emet Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury. Shiva will be at Stan's home on Monday and Tuesday evening, July 18 &19 from 7:00-9:00pm.
