Steve, I know you can see these very loving words everyone has for you.  I never knew you had so many wonderful friends.  We joked all the time about death, the funeral, the afterlife, what you would wear, friends who passed long ago.
Now that you are in that place of eternal peace you won't have to worry so much about what you eat, your hair, your clothes the weather.  We all have such an empty space in our lives and its there because of your sharing life with us.
Your energy is still around us all the time, call me.

Lori and Family,

I just heard the sad news about your dad. I had the pleasure of working with him at Willand Printing in Waltham many years ago.  I too have fond memories of the "Bagel Man" and of course his "Joseph Aboud" ties. He was quite a character and a lot of fun. May your memories guide you through this difficult time.

Lori, I too with many others I am sure, am so sorry for both your loss and the world's with the passing of your father, Steve.

Steve was my first encounter with both the printing industry and purchasing printing in general and it was he who gave me my first ever "advanced" class in how to deal with printers directly from the source. He taught me so many lessons in so little time and it was - thanks to your dad - why I became an experienced buyer, by any account, in print production.

Steve always had a kind word, gentle manner and a trustworthiness I have yet to encounter again since. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I felt a slight ripple in the universe a while ago, and now I understand why.

Steve, for the past 15 years my phone would ring and it would be you.  I know I'm being selfish, but I just can't believe you are not here anymore.  I really miss you guy.

Lori, Shirley, and family - I was shocked and saddened to learn of Steve's passing. I remember Steve fondly from our days together at W. E. Andrews - his lunchtime shopping trips, immaculate wardrobe and automobiles, early mornings at the plant, his generosity, humor, kindness, creativity, and of course, the bagels! Steve was and still is one truly generous being. He saw the best in both people and situations. We are all the worse for his departure, but truly lucky to have known his kindness. Knowing how many contacted me of his passing, he most assuredly made a good mark in the world. He spoke of you with the greatest love.

Dear Lori
I just heard about your dad from my brother today. I am so sorry to hear. Steve was the first print salesman I ever worked with. He taught me a lot of important things about the business and not just about printing. In his enthusiastic way he showed that it was a wonderful thing to be patient, generous and to share joyously.  I'm so glad I got a chance to see him last year and reminisce about those wonderful days and our shared birthday which he of course, always remembered. He was a lovely man I'm very glad I got to know. My sympathies to your family. I am so sorry for your loss.

I remember cousin Steven when I was a little girl. He used to visit my Grandma Tootsie who lived in the same building as her in Brookline. When I used to come and visit her he would come over sometimes. I Want to wish the Block family my heartfelt condolences. I remember him well and made me smile and was very kind. Every conversation with Steve was unique.  I especially loved the Blah-blah-blah messages.  I remember him for his many kindnesses to all-humans and animals alike.

Lori and family, I was so sorry to hear about Steve's passing. It's strange to think of a world without Steve's enthusiasm and kindness and humor. I knew Steve for 35 years. He always made me smile. Of course we all know him as a true professional in the graphic arts business but he was a better human being.

We at Smith Print were saddened to hear of Steve's passing.  He worked with us for about 5 years of which we all grew to love his wit and friendly personality. He was always willing to lend a hand anytime needed.  Steve kept in touch with us and we looked forward to hearing from him.

I am so sorry for your loss. Steve was a warm, smart, creative and generous person who taught all of us in the printing business about branding, marketing and thinking outside the box. He was very kind to me and I will be one of the many who will miss him.

I was one of the fortunate people to have met Steve through mutual friends. His enthusiasm, style, generosity and positive attitude will not be forgotten. My condolences to Shirley and the family.

I worked with Stevie at Mark Burton in the early 70's and have always had a warm spot in my heart for him. We have been able to maintain contact through the years and spoke at length just a couple of months ago. His energy, enthusiasm and warmth were contagious and I know that I will smile when I think of him for many years. My deepest sympathy goes out to his entire family.

Lori, I am saddened to hear of your dads passing.  I knew him when I worked  in the Marketing Dept. at BayBank many years ago.  When I think of him, it puts a smile on my face.

I remember when I was a little girl, Steve would sometimes come by the house in the evenings with a rush job from Daniels for my Dad, Harry to work on.
Years later, I was lucky enough to work with him - he was such fun. He always had a smile, a twinkle in his eye, and of course, a bag of bagels. No matter what kind of day you were having, Steve could put a smile on your face.
The printing industry has lost one of the great ones. It was a pleasure knowing him. He will be missed.

Steve and I went to the same art school in the 60's and I knew him for all of my time in the ad biz. He was funny and gentle.... you sort of wanted to protect him from the bullies. We were all blessed to have known and worked with Steve. I'm also glad that our last visit with Steve was at a small gathering of friends from Dynagraf, where we laughed and remembered some really great times. Lori, I am so sorry for your loss.  I worked with your dad at Dynagraf and we all loved him there.  I pray God comforts you at this difficult time.

I worked with Steve at Daniels Printing in the '70's and then later at Quinn Printing. My father hired him at Daniels and Steve told me often how he was so grateful to get his start in the printing industry there.  Steve was first a superstar print salesman and then worked for several companies as 'door opener' by developing new leads via his unique  mailings and personable phone calls. Steve was successful because he could talk to anyone about their interests and truly cared about those he befriended, whether they became customers or not. 
His "Bla-bla-bla" mailings, his Bagels from Block, and his Smiley Block messages were truly unique. Steve was one of a kind and his friends and those he worked with will miss him.

Lori, I got your message today and I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, I am still shocked.  I put together some thoughts of your dad and the relationship I had with him and I wanted to share it with you.  Can you e-mail me so I can have your address. I am kpb728@comcast.net.
