

Winifred ("Winnie") Segal, of Canton, MA, formerly of Chestnut Hill, MA and Boynton Beach, FL. Winnie died peacefully in her sleep at Orchard Cove Hebrew Senior Life on November 24, 2011 at the age of 87.
Winnie was married to the late Donald Segal, and was the loving mother of her children Michael, married to Catherine Dunham, of Westport, MA and Washington DC, and Suellen, married to André Perold, of West Newton, MA.
The lights that burned brightest in her heart were her grand-children Melissa, Adam and Colette Perold, and Konrad Schlater. Winnie also leaves one great grand-child, Theodore, son of Konrad and his wife, Maria Hawilo, of Washington DC. Winnie's siblings were Lillian Rosen, Mildred Bloom and Irving Rosen.
Winnie's social and community activities were many and brought great happiness to her, most especially the years she spent as a volunteer with Hadassah, the Jewish women's organization, of which she served as a Chapter President; and as an art instructor for several senior citizen organizations.
Funeral services will be private.
Relatives & friends are invited to a Meal of Consolation at Orchard Cove, 1 Del Pond Dr., Canton, MA on Friday, November 25 from 3-4 pm.
Memorial observance will be held at the home of Suellen & André Perold on Saturday and Sunday, November 25 and 26, from 7-9 pm.
