Zwi Kohorn

Zwi Kohorn passed away peacefully on August 15th, 2024, after bravely facing a long series of illnesses. Through it all, he showed remarkable resilience, proving time and again that he was a true fighter.

Zwi is survived by his loving partner, Irina, who was his unwavering support through every challenge. He was a devoted father to Adam and Talia, and a proud, doting grandfather to Danielle, Nate, David and Jack, all of whom were the joys of his life.

Zwi was known for his sharp wit and infectious laugh, always bringing smiles to those around him. He had a deep passion for staying fit, often reminding everyone of the importance of exercise—whether they needed it or not! His dedication extended to his career as well, where he thrived as a talented engineer with degrees from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and MIT, contributing his skills to the US defense industry.

A man who lived life on his own terms, Zwi had an incredible ability to find humor in any situation and was always ready to help those he cared about. Having grown up in a period of great adversity, he was a relentless striver, constantly seeking to achieve the impossible in all aspects of his life.

Zwi was laid to rest in Israel, which always held a special place in his heart. His family and friends will forever remember his lively spirit, his dedication to those he loved, and the indelible mark he left on their lives.
