Anna Baumback Colucci was born in Brooklyn in 1927 and lived there her entire life. Her parents Max and Frances gave Anna and her siblings Florence, Max and William the best childhood that they could but in those hard times everyone had to work to help make ends meet. Anna learned to work hard as a teenager by babysitting and cleaning houses. She learned to cook and became an excellent cook especially with Italian food. She met her beloved husband Mano when she was just 15 years old, was married when she was 17 and they were together for 68 years until his death in 2013. She was a great mother to her children Michael and Kathryn. She worked for Merrill Lynch for 9 years but most of her life she was a “domestic engineer”. She loved crafts, crocheting and photography but mostly she enjoyed her family and friends especially when it involved cooking a great meal or just a cup of tea. Whatever it was a party or just a Sunday meal she would spend hours preparing the meal. She loved to travel particularly to California to visit her friends Helen and the late Barry and their family and enjoyed many road trips to various states throughout the years. She was active in many charity walks and enjoyed attending activities with the Al “e” Mo Square Dance Club. She was loved by her husband, children, family, friends and her cats Jake and Pepper. She will be missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace. Reposing Sunday, 2-5 & 7-10 at the CUSIMANO & RUSSO FUNERAL HOME, 2005 West 6 Street, Brooklyn, NY. Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Monday, 9:45 am at Sts. Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. www.cusimanoandrussofuneralhome.com
