Carmela was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished Nonna, and proud great-grandmother whose kindness and gentle spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. She dedicated her life to her family, offering unconditional love, warmth, and selflessness in everything she did. Carmela always placed the needs of others before her own, creating a home filled with comfort, care, and enduring love.
She passed away peacefully on April 22 at the age of 87, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and deep family devotion that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.
Visitation will be held at Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home, 2005 West 6th St, Brooklyn, NY 11223, US, on April 27, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at Basilica of Regina Pacis, 1230 65th St, Brooklyn, NY 11219, on April 28, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by Entombment at St. John Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Ave, Middle Village, NY 11379, on April 28, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
