It is with deep heartfelt sadness that the family of Catherine Ripillino announces her passing away to be with God our Heavenly Father. Although Catherine (Kitty) Ripillino will be deeply missed, we are at peace knowing she is now in God’s loving hands. Kitty passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Our loving mother was born on January 28, 1928, at the Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Kitty graduated from Philadelphia College of the Bible in 1955 and married her beloved husband Angelo Ripillino on February 5, 1955, while he was still serving in the Army during the Korean War. They enjoyed sixty-five (65) glorious years together as husband and wife. Sadly, Angelo passed away on May 10, 2020, during Covid. She affectionately referred to Angelo as the “Love of Her Life.” Now they are finally reunited once again in heaven.
Kitty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbor and friend. She is survived by her three daughters and their spouses, Cynthia and Michael Brennan, Angela Schweit, Ruth and Mark Adelman, her ten (10) beloved grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Justin, Jonathan, Andrew, Catherine Rose, Elizabeth, Thomas, Jessica and Matthew, and her four (4) beloved great-grandchildren, Jorge, Mia, Bella and Aliyah.
The wake for Catherine Ripillino will be held at the Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home, 2005 West 6th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11223, on June 5, 2025, 2:00 - 5:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm. A service will be held at 7:30 – 8:30pm. Her body will be laid to rest at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Boulevard, RT 25, Calverton, NY 11933, on June 6, 2025.
