After about 65 years of a great friendship, no words can explain all we shared. We were truly the "three amigas"..   We had no secrets and shared all; happy and sad.  I truly lo ed Eileen, still do and I miss her every single day

I'm sure she's laughing at me right now!

I grew up with Eileen and she remained my dear friend for over 60 years 
I could tell funny stories we shared as kids oe the trouble we would get into as teenagers
But she was a freak advisor.  When my dad had his 2nd heart attack I would visit h while my children were on school. They were about 5 and 6 yes then. He would be Lpne on loving room with and others on dining room . My mom said he was too grouchy . I made beef stew and spoon fed him in living room . He was too weak and shakey . Mom said I was spoiling hum & would expect her to do same
I called and told Eileen all this
She said "Go with your heart even if your mom doesn't agree"
I would keep visiting . Wash his hair in sink, listen to music etc for weeks

He passed away soon after and I was so grateful that Eileen gave me the advice to go with my heart
Of course I was broken hearted but never had 1 day of guilt thanks tp the advice  of my loving friend 
We continued to gp through good and bad times; together with the 3rd Amiga, Arlene until we all lost this wonderful person.   She is missed daily and my love and prayers gp to her loving family

Dear Eileen, I’m so grateful that you were in my life for 50 plus years.   As a teenage sister of your dear friend Janie, I always wanted to tag along with my big sister and her cool friends,  especially to the beach.   I remember you coming to see me in a dance show at I.S. 88.  In later years after Janie passed away you became my dear friend.    We didn’t get to see each other much, but you always checked in with me to see how I was doing and I cherished those phone calls.  I am so very happy you came to visit me last summer and we got to spend the day together  having lunch, shopping, coming back to my house and catching up on our lives.   I have Thanked God all this week for that visit because we both know he helped make that happen.   We needed to see each other one last time even though we didn’t know it that day.  RIP Dear Sweet Eileen🙏🙏until we meet again💗💗I love you & thanks for the plant that day,  it will always remind me of you😪😪

My thoughts and prayers are with the Ennis family during this difficult time. Eileen was more than a best friend to my mom,  she was family and truly loved by all.  Eileen was beautiful inside and out - an absolute  treasure who lit up the room with her spirit and laughter.  She will be deeply missed but we will always think of her with the fondest  of memories.

Eileen was such a positive person who was always thinking of others.  Not only was she my mom’s best friend since childhood, she was truly an inspiration in the way she lived her life. My prayers and deepest condolences to her family.

To my dearest friend of well over 64 years. My Eileen, I loved you in grammar school when we hung out on stoops and then p.s.154.  Loved you on high school when we would all meet on 9th Ave and exchange notes about previous evening that we would read on bus or train to school.  Loved u during 60s and 70s. Our different phases.  Loved watching u marry Del, the love of your life.  Loved you every single day and I will never forget you. We shared so much; happy and so, but we got through it together.  I will continue to love you and cherish each and every memory we shared.
I love you my friend; my sister.  Always positive, always with  gigantic heart.  I will miss you every single day.  I truly love you!!!
