Hello,
Sean Condron here. You may not know me, but Eliot and Hunny and to an extent, even Bunny, were my friends in their twilight years. 
 I'm a musician - banjo and guitar player - and I encountered Eliot at one of my concerts at Wyckoff House some years ago.
He wanted to sell me a banjo he said, because he couldn't play it anymore.
So, I came over to visit in Canarsie, (and indeed I bought Eliot's Ode Baldwin banjo, which I have used on many professional gigs even in Europe) but realized that we had lots of music in common (I play bluegrass and work
a music therapist at a nursing home in NY city),  liked hanging out and playing some music together in their living room.
He regaled me with tales of WWII, music, their marriage and jokes he would tell to  folks in the nursing home where he and Hunny still performed. He was also very proud of his boys...
Hunny and Eliot were such a bright loving couple, so full of life. I was always struck with wonder at their recordings of the 'Twintones', those identical twin harmonies... so beautiful
I visited over the years and kept in touch with Eliot by phone more recently, after he sady lost Hunny. I know he felt so lost after her passing. I thought he had disappeared into 'the hospital sysyem' when I couldn't reach him at their home phone, but during the lockdown he called me out of the blue and left a message.
I was very relieved to hear that he had made it through being in hospital during the pandemic and he was in a nursing home near Hoboken. 
I hadn't talked to him in awhile, and shockingly found out on NPR on Friday that he had passed. They were replaying a segment of storycore. 
My deepest sympathies on the loss of Eliot. I hope his going was easy and that he was surrounded by loving family. He was, as they say, a true mensch. Eliot and Hunny were my friends. I feel blessed to have known the Reikens.
