Florence Anne Caruso was the loving wife of Vincent Michael (deceased) and mother of Elizabeth, Martha, and Vincent David and his wife Laura, and granddaughter Alexandra. She dedicated her professional life to teaching ESL and she created a warm and nurturing home for her husband and family. After her retirement, she joined the Ladies’ Auxiliary at Methodist Hospital, where she worked for 33 years.
Her greatest joys were cooking and baking. She was a pioneer in the kitchen, always up for the challenge of trying a new recipe and sharing it with others. She traveled extensively and enjoyed sampling the local cuisine wherever she went. She thought nothing about walking with her children for what seemed like miles in the hot Madrid sun in search of a gazpacho bar that she had visited with her mother many years before.
She loved nature, birdsong and never met a plant seed that she didn’t pick off to save in a tissue for later planting.
She will be remembered for her love of life, sense of humor and her readiness to join the next party.
