A master mechanic and longtime business owner, Mark was widely known as “Mr. Fix-It,” a title he earned through decades of skill, persistence, and problem-solving, and one he appreciated. He was tough, direct, and exceptionally good at his trade. If something was broken, he could fix it. If it wasn’t worth fixing, he’d tell you that too.
Mark had a deep love for cats, science, and all things Star Trek. He was a lifelong fan who enjoyed the logic, the technology, and the idea of a universe that made sense, often more sense than the one we live in. He also loved comedy, especially comedians like Lewis Black and George Carlin, and could appreciate a good laugh when it was earned.
He shared 44 years with Karen, a partnership built on loyalty, routine, and endurance and especially love. He is also survived by his sister, Meleine and loving nieces and nephews.
Mark lived life on his own terms, unapologetically and without pretense. Those who knew him knew exactly where they stood, and that was just the way he liked it.
