Nathan W Solomon

Nathan W SOLOMON, born September 14, 1919 to Fannie and Bernard Solomon. He passed away September 11, 2021. Beloved husband for 40+ years of the late Rebecca. Beloved Father of Arlene Basselini and Cheryl Kass, and Father in law to John Basselini and Joel Kass. Proud Grandfather to Robin Linn and her husband Jordan Linn and two Great Grandsons Lucas and Cameron Linn. Loving Brother to his 7 siblings and Dear friend of Veronika Paderno. He loved his family so very much. He especially loved talking about his Great Grandsons with a great deal of pride.

Nathan was an amazing Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He treated everyone with love and respect. Everyone who met him loved him. He just missed celebrating his 102nd Birthday by 3 days.

Nathan served in the Army during World War II in the Philippines, for 3 1/2 years. He was extremely proud of his service right up until his last day, he was recounting his experiences during WW II. It was apropos for Nathan to pass away on 9/11 because his years of service were so precious to him.

He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service for Nathan will be held Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at I. J. Morris Funeral Directors, 1700 Coney Island Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11230. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 2:15 PM to 2:45 PM at New Montefiore Cemetery, 1180 Wellwood Avenue, West Babylon, NY 11704.
