Nora "Noreen" Ferris

Nora (nee Cremin) was born in County Kerry, Ireland, in 1926 and worked as a registered nurse in England. In the late 1940s, she and her husband, the late Thomas Ferris, moved to the Park Slope section of Brooklyn. Nora then devoted herself to raising their three children: Margaret, Thomas (Kathleen) and Gerard. She also adored her two grandchildren: Elizabeth and Katie.

Nora, who had a deep Catholic faith, was a longtime and active parishioner of St. Saviour Church.

In addition to her husband, Nora was predeceased by her seven siblings: Eileen, Gus, Bill, Frank, Dick, Gerard and Angela.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Joseph G. Duffy Funeral Home, 255 9th Street, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11215. Visiting hours are 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

A mass of Christian burial will be said on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Saviour Church, 611 8th Avenue, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11215.

Burial will take place on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Green-Wood Cemetery, 500 25th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11232.
