

Rosalie was born in Brooklyn, New York, on November 16, 1933, to Gennaro and Concetta Gargiulo. She attended & graduated from Lafyette High School in Brooklyn, New York. Rosalie married Edward J. (Eddie) Parker, the true love of her life, after meeting him at his homecoming party from the Korean war. They were married 2 years later on September 12, 1954. They were happily married for 43 years. They lived their entire lives in the BathBeach/Gravesend section of Brooklyn.
Rosalie was a devoted parishioner and steadfast supporter of Most Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church and the long-time receptionist at Peter C. LaBella Funeral Chapel, both in Brooklyn, New York. She was a loving, generous, and caring individual, and she leaves behind many dear cousins, friends, and fellow parishioners. Rosalie especially enjoyed attending senior centers in 3 different parishes to mingle with her many friends and play cards, her favorite pastime.
Rosalie was predeceased by her parents, husband, and her brother, Alexander Gargiulo. She is survived by her son, Richard Parker and daughter-in-law, Marie Parker of Alexandria, Virginia, and daughter, Roseann Parker of Brooklyn, New York.
Visitation will be held at Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home, 2005 W 6th St, Brooklyn, New York 11223, on May 22, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Athanasius RC Church, 2154 61st Street, Brooklyn, New York 11204, on May 23, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
Committal will follow at St. John's Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, NY 11379, on May 23, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
